Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Lovvy: what you can expect from the service, and what it expects from you.

Last updated September 27, 2026

What Lovvy is

Lovvy is a private movie diary for couples and individuals. You log the films you watch, rate them, write notes and build a shared history. Your data is stored securely and is never shared with advertisers or sold to third parties.

Your account

You need an account to use Lovvy, you must be at least 13 years old to have one, and the details you give us must be accurate. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and sign-in accounts to yourself, and for anything done through your Lovvy account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

How you may use Lovvy

Use Lovvy for your own personal, non-commercial movie diary. Do not upload anything unlawful or anything you have no right to share, do not try to reach another person’s diary, and do not probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend an account that does. You keep ownership of everything you write and upload; you grant us only the permission we need to store it, sync it between your devices and show it to the person you share your diary with.

Subscriptions and payments

If Lovvy Pro is offered in your version of the app, it is billed through your Apple or Google account and covers everyone in your diary. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by the store, not by us.

Availability, changes and ending the agreement

Lovvy is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw features. You may stop using Lovvy and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we are legally required to close, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or lost profit, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — you can request a data copy by email; in-app export is not yet available.

Changes to this agreement

We may update these terms and this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced by email or with an in-app notice. Continuing to use Lovvy after a change takes effect means you accept the updated agreement.
